About
In 2015 biologist and wildlife filmmaker Tom Mustill was leapt onto by a humpback whale. After scientists used AI to identify the whale he spent three years researching what machine learning means for finding patterns in animal voices and behaviours for his book How To Speak Whale. Since then Tom has been drawn into this research himself, including with frontier technologies for discovering hidden underwater voices with FishEye Collaborative. In this talk Tom shares publicly for the first time their most recent findings and discusses their implications.
